About Rover.com Payment Method?
Rover.com is a platform that connects pet owners with pet sitters and dog walkers. When it comes to payments, credit cards are the primary method used by pet owners. The credit card is charged once the sitter accepts the job. Rover holds the payment until 48 hours after the service is completed and then remits it to the sitter.
For sitters to receive payments, they need to provide two pieces of information through Rover's payment processor, Stripe: their social security number and their bank account information. Once a service has been booked and confirmed, it isn't possible to change the payment method for that booking. However, if the sitter hasn't accepted the booking yet, the pet owner can cancel the booking request and re-submit the request with a different payment method. This involves removing the undesired card and adding a new one.
Please note that all these actions are performed within the Rover platform, ensuring a secure and seamless transaction process.

About Rover.com Prices and Cost?
Rover.com is a platform where pet sitters and dog walkers manage their own rates. The total cost of a booking will vary depending on the service, the sitter's rates, and the booking needs. Each service has a standard daily rate, which is the base price of a service.
Dog sitting rates and dog walking rates vary by date and location. Holidays like Memorial Day, Christmas break, and school breaks can also have an impact on price. Rover dog sitters run their own small pet-sitting businesses through Rover, and they set their own dog sitting rates based on their unique skill sets. More experienced sitters or sitters with special skills like administering medication, caring for senior dogs, and vet tech training will sometimes charge a bit more for their particular specialty.
Additional rates may apply depending on the booking needs. These include Holiday rate, Additional Dog rate, Extended Care rate, Extended Stay rate, Puppy rate, and Pick-up and Drop-off rate. For instance, if the pick-up time on the final day is much later than when the pet was dropped off on the first day, an Extended Care rate applies to ensure that sitters are compensated for their additional time. If the stay is longer, an Extended Stay rate may apply. If there is more than one dog who needs care, then sitters may charge an Additional Dog Rate.
It's recommended to review the sitter’s rates before booking. The rates depend on the size of the pet, the type of service interested in, and the rates of each individual pet carer. Rates vary quite a bit depending on each job and the amount of care that’s needed. The goal is to end up with a sitter who isn't just the cheapest option, but the very best option for the pet. For dogs with separation anxiety, it's highly recommended to find a dog sitter who doesn't have a full-time job or can bring the dog with them into the office. Spending a few extra dollars on a sitter with a specialized skill set definitely pays off in peace of mind when having to be away from the pet.
Rover.com Return Policy?
Rover.com has a detailed Return & Exchange Policy. Customers can return or exchange their orders within 60 days of receiving them. To start the return or exchange process, customers are advised to visit the Returns Center.
For returns, customers can return their item and receive a refund to the original payment method or request an exchange for an order. For exchanges, customers can return their item and receive a different item when the item has been returned. If the new order is more than the original order amount, the customer is responsible for paying the difference. If the new order is less than the original order amount, the cost of the new item will be deducted from the refund. Please note that when a return shipping label is provided, a $6 return fee will apply.
All decisions regarding an item’s eligibility for a refund are at the discretion of the Rover.com team. In order for a return to qualify for a refund or exchange, it must meet the following criteria: Returned items must have tags still on and be returned in original packaging. The item must be unused and in the same condition that it was received. Returns are not provided for final sale items, which includes personalized/customized items. Refunds or replacements are not offered for harnesses damaged by chewing.
As for the Shipping Policy, orders typically take 1-3 business days to process before shipping. For personalized items, the processing time is estimated to be 7-10 days. Once shipped, orders are estimated to deliver in 5-10 business days for all items. It's important to note that Rover.com ships all orders Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. Once an order has shipped, customers will receive an email with the order's tracking number. The Rover Store currently sells and ships only within the United States.
What is the Rover Guarantee?
The Rover Guarantee is a reimbursement program primarily intended to protect pets. It can also cover vet care for a pet care provider’s pets or damage to a pet owner’s property in certain circumstances. Every booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in vet care for eligible claims. The Rover Guarantee covers up to $25,000 in vet care reimbursement for eligible claims related to injury to either the pet owner's or sitter’s pets, property damage to the pet owner’s home caused by a sitter, or dog walker, and certain out-of-pocket medical costs for 3rd party injuries. It also provides 24/7 support. However, it doesn’t cover damages to the sitter’s property or home, injury to sitters and dog walkers, injuries to family members or roommates, vet care costs beyond 30 days, or anything pre-existing or preventable such as fleas and ticks. In order to be eligible, injuries or damages must result from care provided during a service booked and paid through Rover. In general, the Guarantee reimburses costs in the event the responsible party is unwilling or unable to pay. It's important to note that the Rover Guarantee is not insurance and does not take the place of any insurance coverage you may have. To the extent any Rover users desire protection beyond the scope of the Rover Guarantee, they must purchase insurance that will provide sufficient coverage.

To find a sitter on Rover.com, follow these steps:
- Go to Rover.com and select the Search Sitters button.
- Enter your zip code, postal code, or address at the top of the page. Select the magnifying glass icon.
- Browse sitters and dog walkers in your area. You can narrow your search by selecting a service you’re interested in, the dates you’re looking to book, your price range, and more.
- To get even more specific about what you’re looking for, apply filters.
- Scroll down and select a sitter profile that seems like a good match to learn more about them. If you'd like to start a conversation with them, select the Contact button next to their profile.
- Once you contact a sitter or dog walker, make sure you arrange a Meet & Greet. This allows you to get to know them in person and make sure they’re the right fit for you and your dog.
- After a successful Meet & Greet, either you or the sitter can select Book It Now from your conversation on Rover. Once both you and the sitter or dog walker have accepted, the service is booked.
Remember, all Rover services must be paid for on Rover. This gives you 24/7 support, the Rover Guarantee, and a secure, convenient way to pay. It's recommended to contact two to three sitters or dog walkers when beginning your search. That way you’ll have lots of options when you’re ready to book your first service. If you're requesting care for multiple pets, then each of your pets must have a completed profile and be added to the booking. To protect your privacy, personal contact information isn't displayed until a service is booked. However, if you request your sitter to pick up and drop off your pet at the beginning and end of a stay, then your home address will be viewable to the sitter in the pending request.
